The Michigan Law Review invites the submission of unsolicited articles, essays, and correspondence. Authors may upload their submissions using the link to ExpressO below.
If you have already submitted your manuscript by mail, it is currently being reviewed. Please do not submit it again electronically.
Please direct book review submissions to the separate book review submissions site.
Please note the following instructions for uploading submissions: Please submit only one draft of any work for consideration; do not upload successive drafts. Submission of multiple drafts may disqualify all drafts from consideration.
- Submissions must be in Microsoft Word format. The file you intend to upload must include the ".doc" extension to be uploaded successfully. Those using the newest version of
Word must save the document in the Word 2003 format.
- Submissions should conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (18th ed. 2005).
- If your submission has multiple authors, the Name field should be that of the "contact" author.
- Note that the Articles Office will notify authors of its decisions via email.
- A confirmation email will be sent to the email address you enter.
An email confirmation will be sent to the email address you provide us in the submission form. If you do not receive this email confirmation within 48 hours, please kindly email us at mlr.articles@umich.edu or call (734) 647-4074.
